The Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre aims to improve accessibility for patrons who have sensory challenges or additional needs by continuing our Quiet Time program, a twice-weekly one-hour program that provides a low-stimulation aquatic environment. 

During Quiet Time, the centre ensures that noise levels in the BARC pool hall are kept to a minimum and the water features are turned off. No programming is scheduled and recreation activities in the pool area are restricted to those that can be achieved in the quiet space.

Quiet Time will now run 10.30am-11.30am every Thursday and 9.00am - 10.00am every Sunday.
